Oz is a Barcelona-based athlete, self-development coach and Inspire by FM* instructor who fuses her experience as a former professional basketball player with freer forms of movement and dance.

 *FIGHTING MONKEY:  Developed by Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapatenea,  Fighting Monkey is a practice that studies principles of human movement, communication and the aging process, solving real life problems and thriving in life. 

My story..

Born in the 90s, in a small city in Romania. After competing professionally and the national basketball team of my country, at age 19, I moved to the US with a full scholarship at a Division 1 college in Brooklyn, New York.

Throughout the athletic career, education was always a priority for me. After graduating with a BA in Business and Sport Management, I took a leap and moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2015 where I started my career in the education field with Johan Cruyff Institute.

Looking to keep learning about the transition and retirement experience of elite athletes, I decided to go back to studying, this time in the UK  at University of Essex. I was granted the MSc in Sports Psychology while playing in the first British women's basketball league.

Coming back to Barcelona, I continued my career in the education field, and in 2021 I completed the Master in Coaching from Johan Cruyff Institute.

In 2016, I found the second love of my life, movement. In the movement realm, I studied the Ido Portal method for 4 years , I completed the Fighting Monkey mentorship and participated in many movement seminars & workshops with internationally recognized teachers.

I am also working as the US program manager at the True Athlete Project, a UK and US based charity where we aim to build a more compassionate world though sport.
I continue to learn from different teachers, attend workshops, ask questions, research, and most importantly, work on myself for a deeper understanding of who I am.

I offer a holistic approach to physical health transcending traditional fitness, embracing diverse movements and play for physical adaptability, creativity, and self-discovery.

Your body is a medium for the deepest knowing of yourself.. for emotional expression and exploration.. and much more.. Through intentional movement, it becomes a tool for mental well-being, enhancing focus and reducing stress.
